The current season , which terminates on 31 March
2012, has seen one of the lowest recorded fire claims
season in years. As a Co-Operative therefore, the
savings made by lower claims will translate to a direct
reduction in premiums. Should the good season continue
A category members will pay approximately 0.65c/ton
of cane for the 2011/12 season. This is significantly
lower than the previous seasons premium of R1.04/ton
cane.

We congratulate members for ensuring such a good claims
year, and look forward to completing the season at
current claim levels. This once again highlights the
benefits of belonging to a Co-Operative where savings
translate directly to reduced premiums.

More good news is, that the rule that insured members
dropped from the A premium to the B premium for a
period of four years after having a claim, has
been amended to a two year period. This
will serve to assist A members who have been loyal
and seldom claim.
